Description
Isotrexin is a gel that is applied to the skin to help treat acne. It contains erythromycin, an antibiotic, which can help to kill harmful bacteria that are irritating the skin. It also contains isotretinoin, which helps to prevent pores from getting blocked.
Isotrexin gel therefore effectively helps treat acne through a combination approach, targeting blocked pores as well as bacteria that cause acne.
There are very few side effects associated with using Isotrexin. Most people experience a stinging sensation when applying Isotrexin, but this subsides with time, or by applying the gel more thinly on the skin.
Stop using Isotrexin and seek medical attention if you experience any of the following side effects:
- Severe burning or peeling of the skin
- Prolonged or severe diarrhoea
